Welcome to the 41st Annual Scientific Meeting of the Australian and New Zealand Society of Nuclear Medicine

For the first time, the ANZSNM will venture to the Top End of Australia for its annual scientific meeting in 2011. The magnificent new Darwin Convention Centre will be the site of what should be an exciting and stimulating conference featuring New Technologies, Novel Tracers and New Therapies in the field of Nuclear Medicine.

Timed to co-incide with the July school holidays, there will be ample opportunity to savour the unique landscape and wildlife of this region. A full social program will include indigenous art & culture, native wildlife and unique outdoor events under the warmth of the Territory sun. Be prepared to enjoy a summer’s break in the middle of winter in Darwin!

A unique pre-conference symposium combining the best of science and sightseeing will be held in Kakadu National Park on 14–15 July. A comprehensive program that no-one will want to miss is planned over the 2 days including highlights such as a sunrise cruise at Yellow Waters billabong, aboriginal rock arts at Nourlangie Rock, a face-to-face crocodile encounter cruise, a drive-by of the world’s largest uranium mine at Ranger and local cultural centres.

We hope that you will join us for what will be a truly memorable and unique event.

A/Prof Paul Roach and Prof Dale Bailey,
Co-convenors, ANZSNM ASM 2011
